Last weekend, members of the publishing team presented Pope Francis with the Illustrated Catholic Bible (Spanish Edition) while visiting with him at the Vatican to celebrate the release of his new biography, Life: My Story Through History. The visit and the book coincide with His Holiness’ 11th pontification anniversary.
The Illustrated Catholic Bible, available in both English and Spanish editions, draws on the rich history and teaching of the Catholic Church, featuring 513 exquisite woodcut illustrations originally printed in a 16th-century Venetian Bible. Each work of art in this unique devotional Bible is linked to a passage of Scripture to guide your reflection.
Pope Francis has said of the Bible, “Take it, carry it with you and read it every day: It is Jesus himself speaking to you in it!”
